The Alliance for Gender Equality in Europe has welcomed a new Advisory Committee, composed of a diverse group of leaders and experts committed to advancing gender equality and driving lasting change across the continent.
From civil society to philanthropy, from grant-making to intersectionality, our new advisors offer practical experience, strategic insight, and new perspectives to strengthen the Alliance’s collective impact. They bring experience leading European and global initiatives, paired with a deep, nuanced understanding of locally rooted movements and the realities faced by grassroots organisations.
Some have steered major philanthropic foundations or coordinated donor collaboratives, others have managed volunteer-led organisations, or helped shape EU policy. All are united by a vision of an inclusive Europe where gender equality is achieved for all.
The Advisory Committee will provide guidance to the Steering Committee and the Alliance team, helping us achieve our mission of strengthening gender equality organisations and movements through grant-making, capacity strengthening, and awareness-raising.
Our new advisors include:
- Bushra Ahmed, Board member at Lloyd’s foundation, Mercedes Benz Global Fellowship, and 50:50 Parliament
- Giulia Barnhisel, Head of Policy at European Community Land Trust and Independent Consultant
- Miren Bengoa, Gender and Philanthropy Advisor; Director of Swiss Solidarity Foundation

- Xavier Prats Monné, Senior international advisor on public policy, education, healthcare and European affairs; Advisor at DONES MENTORES
